1. Contains a source of Protease which hydrolyzes proteins. One HUT unit of proteolytic (protease) activity is defined as the amount of enzyme that produces, in 1 minute under the specified conditions, a hydrolysate whose absorbance at 275 nm is the same as that of a solution containing 1.10 μg per ml of tyrosine in 0.006N hydrochloric acid. 2. Contains a source of alpha-Amylase which hydrolyzes starch. One Maltose Unit(MU/g or MU/mg) is the amount of enzyme which will liberate 1 milligram of reducing sugar as maltose in 30 minutes under the condition of the assay. SKB U/g=MU/g X 0.128. 3. Contains a source of Hemicellulase which breaks down hemicellulose. One hemicellulose unit(HCU) is defined as the activity that will produce a relative fluidity change of 1 over a period of 5 minutes in locust bean gum substance under the conditions specified 40°C and a pH 4.5. 4. Contains a source of Pectinase which breaks down pectin. Apple Juice Depectinizing Units(AJDU) are determined by correlating the depectinization time of the unknown sample to the depectinization time of enzyme standard of known activity at a pH 3.5 and 45°C. 5. Contains a source of Lipase which hydrolyzes triglycerides. One unit of enzyme activity is defined as that quantity of a standard Lipase preparation(Fungi Lipase International F.I.P.) that liberates the equivalent of 1 μmole of fatty acid from olive oil per minute under assay conditions 37°C pH 7.0. 6. Contains a source of Xylanase which hydrolyzes xylans, a component of hemicellulose. One xylanase unit(XU) is the amount of enzyme which liberates 1 μmole of xylose per minute under the conditions pH 5.3 and 50°C. 7. Contains a source of beta-Glucanase which hydrolyzes beta-glucans, a type of non-starch polysaccharide. One β-glucanase unit(BG) is defined as the amount of enzyme which, under standard conditions, liberates glucose or other reducing carbohydrates with a reduction power corresponding to 1 μmole glucose per minute. 8. Contains a source of Cellulase which breaks down cellulose. The assay is based on the enzymatic hydolysis of the interior β-1, 4-glucosidic bonds of a defined carboxymethyl cellulose substrate at pH 4.5 and at 40°C. 9. Contains a source of Bromelain which hydrolyzes proteins. From a substrate of gelatin, bromelain liberates amino-compounds that are titrated with NaOH in presence of formaldehyde. 10. Contains a source of Papain which hydrolyzes proteins. Using casein as a substrate, one of the amino acids found upon hydrolysis is L-Tyrosine, which absorbs strongly at 280nm. The concentration of Tyrosine as a function of optical density follows Beer’s Law. 11. Contains a source of alpha-Galactosidase which hydrolyzes oligosaccharides. This procedure is used to determine α-galactosidase activity in enzyme preparations derived from Aspergillus niger, var. The assay is based on a 15-min hydrolysis of a p-nitrophenyl-α-D-galactopyranoside followed by spectrophotometric measurement of the liberated 4-nitrophenol. 12. Contains a source of Lactase which hydrolyzes lactose to glucose and galactose. The assay is based on a 15-min hydrolysis of an o-nitrophenyl-β-D-galactopyranoside(ONPG) substrate at 37°C and at pH 4.5.

Excellent product at a reasonable price

Posted by Barbi on 16th Sep 2016

We adopted a puppy (about 8 months old) from a rescue. He was suffering from malnutrition when rescue took him in and was not in the best of health overall. I talked to the wonderful people at A Better Way Pet Care and explained what had happened to the puppy before we got him. This product was recommended for him and my puppy is now 18 months old, happy, healthy and thriving thanks to this product. I highly recommend it to everyone I talk to!

    Dogzymes Max is the Best!

Posted by Barbara on 19th Nov 2015

I love this product! Visited the Better Way Pet Care booth at the South Jordan shows in May 2015. There were 3 of us who stopped & talked to the folks there, very nice people! We asked some questions about some of the products & pretty soon the subject turned to "stool eating". Our breed is notorious for this. The lady convinced me to buy this product. I was admittedly very skeptical. However, came home & started my 10 week old puppies on it & within 48 hours they were no longer cleaning up. So I started all of my adults on it with the same great success. Alas, I ran out and the dogs went right back to eating poo. This time I ordered a larger container; I won't want to run out of this ever again. Additionally, it helps with loose stools, as well.

    Solution to poop eaters !!!

Posted by Llamamama that breed CH dogs on 6th Mar 2015

Have always used probiotics when giving antibiotics and also on pregnant/lactating females and when traveling including going to dogs shows ,,,,,,but have had on and off problems with the dogs eating poop. this is a issue that have been widely discussed as long as I can remember being in dogs 42 years now. By putting all my dogs on Probiotic Max in January every day on their food , after just 2-3 days I no longer saw anyone sneaking eating poop ! I am very happy to see this result and now ordering a 5 lb container so it will last me little longer . Just wish it was a tad cheaper since I got many dogs.

My siberian huskey was having soft poo's and after giving him this probiotic it seems to have hardened them. He loves the stuff too.

    Best stuff out there!

Posted by Jim S. on 18th Mar 2014

We have an older dog, and while in his younger days all was good with his digestive tract. As he has aged, that has slipped some... we have tried different foods with no luck - plus he LIKES his food. Then we tried some other digestive aids, with no luck. He'd have softer, 'mushy' stools. So we were turned onto the Probiotic Max, and after testing it for a bit, it WORKS. He is regular, firm and on schedule. Heck, the stuff works so well *I* should use it! (kidding of course...) We will continue to use it while he is still with us, and for any dogs that follow in his large, well loved footsteps. Buy with confidence - this product *WORKS*.

    Happy Dog & Owner

Posted by Melissa H on 6th Jan 2014

Was suggested this product for my 3 year old pit mix by the sales staff at a dog show in Oct. Ace has been on the same food for years but would get loose stool out of the blue for no reason. It would last days and happen every few weeks. Once we started Ace on this supplement it has been a 100% turn around with not a single upset. Have even started using it on the service dogs we train to reduce stomach upset from stress. This is the best product I have ever used.
